This bronze-clad cast white metal Bloodhound dog measures 7 inches high by 7 inches long/wide by 4 inches deep. Solid, heavy piece weighs 3 lbs, 7.6 oz. Marked JB 2499 under tail. Made by the Jennings Brothers Manufacturing Company, 1930s–1940s.
The Jennings Brothers Manufacturing Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut, was founded by Austin Jennings in 1891. The company was well known for finely detailed castings in white metal with bronze coatings.
