Merry-go-round Scale model of the Dentzel Dorney Park
Carousel.
This
Hand Crafted fully working and lighted carousel was an Estate Sale Find....it is very unusual hand-made piece.  It is a replica apparently of Dorney Park Merry-go-round.  It appears that it was probably crafted at least 50 or or so years ago.
The mechanical motor is geared under the platform and a small miniature musical dat player has been added to play the proper carousel music.  It is all working and the stained glass domelike top can be removed and boxed separately for moving.  Weight is about 40 - 50 pounds.
All the horses are carved from wood and have been decorated as you can see by hand with jewelry findings and painted.  The carriages also are made from wood.  This took someone thousands of hours to make.  Just trying to recreate and hand carve the carousel horses would take an amazing amount of patience and money.
It needs a good home, hopefully in a store or museum or other public place that has foot traffic.

Overall size is about 28-30 inches tall with the stained glass lamp dome on top, round platform base approximately 24 inches.  Please ask for more details as you need.  It displays wonderfully and looks great.  In the photos it is sitting on a counter in my store and people always gravitate to it.
