    Description

    This is a nice b&w photograph of the gambling hall (the Marine Room) at Brady Lake Amusement Park in Brady Lake, Ohio, near Kent.  It was taken in April 1947 by a photographer for the old Cleveland News.  It's shot in early evening or on a cloudy afternoon, and doesn't have much contrast to it.  The park was much in the news back then, with the governor of Ohio trying to shut down the slot machines at the park operated by the Cleveland Syndicate.  The photo is 8x10 glossy with News ID and stamp on the back.  It has some wrinkles in it.  The bright patches in upper left and lower right are from my flash.  You can see the unlit neon sign on the front of the gambling hall.  The park closed after the 1949 season.  This is an original photo, not a reprint.  It appeared in the regional PBS documentary, Seances & Slot Machines:  The  Story of Brady Lake Park."

I will reimburse the full purchase price and the return postage. I MUST receive the item back in the same condition I sent it out.
