Antique c.1920s Carnival Amusement Park Folk Art Wooden Set For Electric Motor
Purportedly made to resemble Coney Island rides-10 pcs
This incredible set was made sometime right around the 1930s. The family that had this piece in their for possession for years claimed that their grandfather made this to resemble Coney Island.  The set comes with a swing ride, 3 ticket booths, bumper car ride, a fence, & 3 other small buildings. The set can be hooked up to an elctric motor to power the rides and the buildings are wired up with small fixtures for lights. Most of the seats are filled with celluloid dolls. Most of the buildings are completley made out of wood but some have metal parts including the bases on the swings. The bumper car building measures 27" in length, is 15" in width, and stands 13" in height.
Condition:  There is one slat missing from one of the buildings, some missing orange paint on the top of another building.  All the seats and childing are present on the swing ride and  there are quite a bit of children on the covered building ride.  There are sre signs of electrical wiring that was in working condition at one time. The swing ride is sitting higher than it should be but something is keeping the rod to the holds the top down from running the whole way through the base, it shouldn't take much work to get it back in place the right way.
We believe that this piece should be preserved in a museum so due to how vulnerable to breakage some of these pieces we will not be shipping this set.
