    Description

    Brand: Broken Aspen
    Product: Split / Whole Elk
Recommended for: Most small to medium dogs.
You will receive the exact antler(s) pictured.  These have been created to provide 2 ways to chew.  One part is split, attached to a whole. These are a good introductory antler.  Some dogs just don't want to chew a whole antler if that's what they are offered first.  The marrow that is exposed in the split is the yummy part.  These can help a dog to transition to whole antlers by first making them aware of the tasty marrow that awaits within.
If you need help selecting an antler chew for your dog please feel free to message me.  I find most antlers are marketed by the weight of the dog, which I agree helps in some cases, but dogs - like people - have vastly different preferences and abilities.  I will work with you to find something that 1.  the dog likes  2.  is longer lasting
The primary composition of these naturally shed antlers are Calcium and Phosphorus. Trace amounts of potassium, sodium, magnesium, iron and zinc. Antlers have been washed in water and had their edges hand sanded to remove any sharp edges.
Antlers are a natural product, are unique in their shape, and have natural flaws.  If this is a multiple quantity listing, I've tried to display a variety of pictures to demonstrate the uniqueness of the antler. They can range in color from light brown to different shades of gray and white, depending on how long they have been exposed to the sun and weather. I have even found some stained pink from the red clay soil they were shed in.
These antlers were found over the last year by myself and my husband. Elk shed their antlers every year, and once they move to higher ground for summer we walked in and searched for them on foot. We are NOT elk farmers who cut off the brown antlers that they sell at a premium price.
Antlers are a great alternative to other natural products like bully sticks, which are a slaughterhouse waste product. Antlers seem to keep their teeth clean, strong, and healthy and they make no mess.
If you would like a specific color or shape please feel free to email me before purchasing to make sure I have what you want available.
Reminders: Please make sure that you supervise your pet while introducing them to any new chew. Make sure to remove your antler chew from your pet before it's small enough to be a choking hazard.
