Antique C.W. PARKER CAROUSEL HORSE - HORSE SHOES - LEAVENWORTH, KS. NOS - Set of 3
I purchased these three horse shoes at auction in Indiana and had no idea of their history.  I am listing them as New Old Stockk since they have never been installed on a horse -- in fact, one of the holes on one shoe is cast into the shoe but does not go entirely through the casting.  These don't appear to have been wire brushed or cleaned after they came from the foundry and I think they'd probably be made more visually appealing by a good wire brushing.
The casting was a bit off as the "P" in "PARKER" is missing from the casting as can be seen in the photos.  I believe these items are original and perhaps were discarded from use since they were imperfect.  Cast iron castings frequently had problems as often shows up in Ball Jar casting imperfections.
If you don't think these are original castings, please don't bid.  Examine the photos and decide for yourself if they meet your criteria for quality and condition and ensure they have value to you.  I doubt they were ever put on a carousel horse and were, perhaps, set off to the side because they lacked the "P" in PARKER" and somehow ended up at this auction may years later.  If you are a collector and have knowledge of the the CW Parker operation, maybe you know if horse shoes like these were common.
