Up for auction is this beautiful and very rare 1983 Yamaha XZ 550 VISION Touring Machine in pristine preserved condition
This two owner Yamaha motorcycle is in Black with Gold trim comes with owners manual and original sales Invoice, sans a tool kit .
This is a two year concept production run motorcycle, It is a liquid cooled 552cc dual overhead camshaft 8 valve 70 degree V twin Cosworth designed
engine and is fed by a pair of honking 36mm Mikuni downdraft Carbs
and the Yamaha's YICS induction control system controls improves the combustion chamber swirl.
The Visions drivetrain 5 speed transmission and final drive has straight cut gears and designed by Porsche. Running on
distinctive
gold trimmed 18"
alloy
wheels with brand new tires mounted on them ,the Vision uses a air adjustable telescopic front fork at the front with dual disc brake rotors,while the drum brake rear wheel hung on Yamaha's "Monocross" swingarm w/ a single spring damper unit adjustable for preload.
The bike starts, runs ,stops and shifts and looks as perfect as it did when it left the factory !!
