Here is the story: My first bike was a 1969 Suzuki T200, twin street bike. It was not a good learner's bike. I was about 18 and didnt know any better. I made  friends with a guy who had a CT1, so sold the T200 and  bought one just like his. It was great!  Fun, and I really learned to ride, and I had somebody to ride with.  We would ride in gravel pits and out by the airport, and have the airliners fly low over head. Back in the days before so much security. Anyway, I dont remember why, but I traded that CT1 in for a 'newer, better' one. Maybe the first one was 1970 and the next one, the one you see above was, 1971.  Anyway I loved that bike, modded the engine, worked on it and cared for it a lot. He sold his CT1. Then another one came along, I dont remember the story, but it needed work and was a good price, so I talked my friend into buying it to fix up to have a bike again. Unfortunately he did not have the skill/patience/persistence to fix it up;  he got tired of it,  he passed it onto me. That is the 398 bike above.
Life had its own plans as always. Moved to the flatlands where riding is no fun, kids and work and responsibilities and the bikes set in the barn. Then there was a brief flood that changed them. Time to move on....
I cannot remember the story of the spare engine, if that came with my friends bike or what.
Maybe between all the pieces you can make a bike whole and have some good times...
