are some comments we received from buyers about the RFC PL-259 connectors. And the price is right!
Thank you for visiting our store. We would like very much to be your quality RF Connector source.
Your purchase will consist of Ten (10)
RFC 63-1SP-3278
Silver PL-259 straight solder connectors and Ten (10)
RFC
63-58S
(UG-175) Silver Reducers for RG-58, RG-141, RG-142 coax s
ealed in factory packages.
Without the reducers, this connector may be used with RG8, RG-213, RG-214, Belden 9913, Belden 8214, LMR-400 and other 400 series coax cables. Personal, friendly and fast shipping service is also included.
Look closely at the fit & finish of this connector. We've provided a photograph of the actual connector, not a stock, representative or generic photo or drawing.
Generic, stock or representative photos, copied from manufacturers websites, are often used when selling inferior items, or an entirely different item.. Why would a seller not photograph the actual product he wants to sell?
Soldering is a
craft requiring
proper tools including the correct solder alloy
, correct flux content, correct heat and other tool aids. It requires proper preparation of the components to be joined and it also requires skill.
Years ago, minimal soldering skills could
accomplish acceptable soldering connections
for RF connectors on coax.
Today,
low loss
coax cables such as LMR and others, use gas-injected foam technology replacing the old solid polyethylene dielectric (insulator).
This technology, while creating a
superior conductor, has conversely introduced a potential problem, especially
for the occasional soldere
r. A little too much heat applied
during the soldering process, can easily result in
damage to this temperature sensitive foam
insulator
, resulting in distortion and melting,
creating a brown, tarry substance
ultimately resulting in impedance characteristic changes to
the cable.
My suggestion / recommendation
for all levels of soldering skills is to
always
use connectors with a Silver Plated
body and tip
, which not only greatly speeds up the soldering process helping eliminate
o
verheating
, but also enhances RF signal
flow
.

dielectric known for its inert properties, permittivity, strength, and higher withstanding voltages over a wide range of frequencies and temperatures.
The premium silver plating assures a quick and positive soldering experience. We've received nice comments about this connector from many purchasers in our feedback.
